I live in Sonoma County, a region of California's wine country. It is located 60 miles north of San Francisco. The area is not only known for it's vineyards and world class wineries but also for it's dramatic coastline, beautiful valleys and hills, oak and redwood trees. The scenery is truly a feast to the senses. Other places of inspiration for me are the Sierra Nevada mountains and the American Southwest. I enjoy working in a variety of media including oil, watercolor, and pastel. I am inspired by the work of artists Guy Rose, Granville Redmond, Edgar Payne, Georgia O'Keeffe and many others. I love Native American crafts and like to create decorative containers out of hard shell gourds. When not painting, I spend time with my husband, Michael, riding our tandem bicycle, hiking, kayaking, and gardening. We share our lives with our two Border Collies and three cats.
